For the winter period, you shall call me Hyggelicious, Goddess of Winter, Mother of Truffles, Lover of Wine.
Winter can make a lot of people think that we have to hibernate but in Tasmania, the changing of the season brings new delights. Rugging up in warm clothes and getting out around the island is such a different experience and one that should be embraced if you love food and drink.
In addition, this is a fantastic time for showing your support for local businesses. Traditionally a slightly quieter time of year, heading out for a coffee in a local cafe, picking up supplies from a farm gate or farmers market, can make a real difference to Tasmanians in our community.
Luckily, the first thing you can do is join me at Tamar Ridge, Saturday 8th June 12-3pm for Soup & Pinot Noir. I will be talking about wine and answering your wine and winter related questions between 12 and 1pm followed by indulging in a glass of Pinot Noir and soup in conjunction with local purveyors of greatness, Bread & Butter.
For further information, contact Tamar Ridge on 6330 1800.
